General
Who is Dr. Johnny's?
Dr. Johnny's was founded by Dr. Jean Segal, a surgeon with more than 35 years of experience treating venous disease. We make high-quality, comfortable compression socks, diabetic socks, and foot cream — designed to help you stay healthy and comfortable without compromising on style.
What products do you offer?
How are your products designed and tested?
They're designed by medical experts and undergo rigorous testing for quality, durability, and effectiveness, using premium materials and advanced manufacturing.
What makes your socks unique?
Products & materials
How are Dr. Johnny's socks different from other diabetic and compression socks?
Diabetic socks: non-binding tops, seamless construction, and breathable moisture-wicking fabric to keep feet dry and comfortable all day.
Compression socks: wide comfort bands that lay flat without rolling, seamless construction and toes to prevent rubbing and blisters, UltraFresh anti-microbial treatment, Hydracool moisture-wicking, and reinforced heels and toes for durability — in stylish designs made for everyday wear.
Are your diabetic socks suitable for both diabetics and non-diabetics?
Absolutely. They're designed with diabetics in mind — gentle, non-restrictive comfort — but they're excellent for anyone who values foot comfort, has sensitive skin, or stands all day.
Are your compression socks for medical or preventive use?
Both. They improve circulation, reduce swelling, and ease tired, achy legs — ideal for people with venous issues and for anyone wanting to prevent them. Stylish designs make them easy to wear every day.
What materials are used in your socks and foot cream?
Are your products hypoallergenic?
Yes — our products are gentle on the skin and hypoallergenic, suitable for sensitive skin and those prone to allergies.
What does your foot cream do, and how do I use it?
It hydrates and heals dry, cracked feet with natural ingredients, without irritation. Apply a generous amount to clean, dry feet — focusing on dry or cracked areas — daily, preferably before bed so it works overnight.
Where are your products made?
Designed in Canada and made in facilities held to strict quality standards: diabetic socks in China, compression socks in Taiwan, and foot cream in Canada.
Sizing & fit
How do I choose the right sock for my needs?
If you have specific medical needs, check with your physician. As a general guide:
Not sure? Book a free virtual fitting and we'll help you choose.
What sizes are available?
Our socks are unisex and come in a range of sizes — see the sizing chart on each product page. If you're between two sizes, we recommend sizing up.
How do I measure for the best fit?
Measure first thing in the morning when swelling is minimal. Keep your foot flat and measure against bare skin at the narrowest part of your ankle, then the widest part of your calf. See our full How to Measure guide.

Care
How should I care for my socks?
Machine wash cold with like colours and lay flat or hang to dry. Avoid bleach and ironing — they can damage the fabric and reduce the moisture-wicking and anti-microbial properties.
How should I store my foot cream?
Keep it in a cool, dry place. Apply to clean, dry feet daily — ideally before bed so it works overnight.
Insurance & coverage
Will my insurance cover this?
Often — many Canadian extended health plans cover compression socks when they're prescribed. Coverage varies by plan, so we can help you check what to ask your provider.
